Moving Forward Together
Family therapy provides a space for families to come together and work through challenges as a unit with the goal of better understanding one another and strengthening their relationships.
Rather than focusing on who is at fault, the focus is on understanding what each person is experiencing and finding ways to move forward together. Sessions may focus on communication, parent-child relationships, boundaries, conflict, emotional regulation, transitions, or changes within the family.
A person-centered approach is at the heart of family therapy, with each family member having space to feel heard, understood, and respected. Family therapy primarily draws from Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), with a focus on strengthening connection, supporting emotional needs, and helping family members feel more confident in responding to one another.
- Communication challenges and conflict

Family therapy at Little Waves is not about finding fault. It is about understanding each person's experience and finding a way forward that works for everyone.
